Scott is currently creating Penguin, a new full-length contemporary dance work for Momentum Dance Perth, commissioned to celebrate the company's 10-year anniversary. Inspired by the concept of social mimicry and the ways people influence, support, and adapt to one another throughout life, the work explores themes of connection, resilience, compassion, belonging, and renewal.

Blending powerful physicality with moments of vulnerability, humour, and emotional depth, Penguin examines what it means to move through life's challenges in the company of others. Rich in imagery and human experience, the work reflects on the instinct to gather close, protect, imitate, and heal, celebrating the enduring strength of community and the profound impact we have on one another.

Penguin has been made possible through the generous support and collaboration of HotHouse Company. Their commitment to nurturing artistic development and championing contemporary dance has provided an invaluable foundation for the creation of this work. Through their partnership, the project has been given the space, time, and creative support needed to grow, evolve, and reach its full potential. Scott and Momentum Dance Perth extend their sincere gratitude to HotHouse Company for their belief in the work and their ongoing investment in the development of artists and new creative projects.
